[OOC] State of the Union and Anything Goes Meme
State of the union stuff for Raidou:
IC: Currently re-adjusting to being his proper age again after spending a week and a half as a seven-year-old. Might possibly have developed a slight aversion to camp's cornfields.
Plot: Raidou has been pretty busy over the last few months, between canon-updating to post-Lucifer, the camp anniversary event, and most recently being reverted to childhood. He is still coming to terms with that last in particular; he doesn't like being vulnerable (and he's still smarting over the camp anniversary event somewhat, for much the same reason) and while he's grateful that so many people were willing to look out for him and everything, he's not sure he really wants to talk about it with anyone. Mostly, he's embarrassed about it. There's also the fact that Raidou essentially had to cast off his former identity to become Raidou, and suddenly being reverted to the person he was before was... unsettling. Raidou does not think of himself as Jouhei; that chapter of his life is over with.
Before his de-aging, he'd stepped up his training regimen so he wouldn't be caught again the way he was during the cultists' invasion. He was extremely displeased at his poor showing and can't help but think Gouto would be appalled. To say nothing of the elders/his predecessors. He is still crushing on Narumi (and to a lesser extent Dante) but does his level best to ignore said crushes and mostly wishes they'd just go away.
OOC: Raidou has had problems with OOC-ness and veering into excessive angst (Anon, I am really sorry I never got back to you, but I am very grateful for the concrit). I've been trying to cut back on that, but I'm not sure it's been all that effective, since he tends to veer towards serious business in general. Otherwise, I'm still having a lot of fun playing him; reverting him to Jouhei was a particular highlight. The demons are also a tremendous amount of fun to play, but I still feel like I'm getting away with things I shouldn't by having them in camp.
Drop likelihood: Since he's my only character, that would result in dropping camp, and I'd rather not.
Meanwhile! Raidou hit 15,000 comments sometime last month, so have an Anything Goes meme! Essays, relationships (hypothetical and non-), first impressions, threading suggestions, whatever, demons included. I will try to answer in a more timely fashion this time.

Also what instrument would Raidou play if he had the time/inclination? Would he be any good at it? (BRING HONOR TO YOUR FAMILY, MASTER THIS POWER CHORD AND BE THE CHAMPION)

ZEX remains one of Raidou's absolute best friends in camp. He worries about ZEX a lot, especially after the mess with the cultists, although he knows logically that ZEX is perfectly capable of taking care of himself, if not always considering self-preservation a priority (which Raidou can relate to, as he behaves similarly on occasion; he's very aware that if something happens to him, another Raidou will take his place). He is a little worried that ZEX seems to treat Taiki like a porcelain doll because he suspects that may become a problem at some point. He doesn't mind keeping an eye out for Taiki, as he likes him as well, but worries that there may come a point where he's caught between ZEX's need to motherhen and Taiki's need to, well, not be motherhenned.
Jouhei did not really think of ZEX as a "daddy" so much as an uncle (and I really wish we had some information about Raidou's family life, but I digress). He was a little bewildered at ZEX's hovering, although he didn't necessarily mind it.
He was somewhat confused at ZEX's not "feeling" like a demon even though he was clearly not human, but wasn't sure it was polite to ask about that, and in any case ZEX seemed perfectly nice, if slightly overbearing at times, so it didn't seem that important. He was very, very curious about ZEX in general, though.
Reverse?

Raidou is totally awesome, that has not changed. When ZEX met him when he was Jouhei, though, he came to like the idea of the Kuzunohas even less. He's such a polite, almost repressed boy! He had obviously been under-socialized, probably didn't have many friends, and was just...very tiny and delicate. ZEX couldn't help but hover, and toyed with the idea of trying to be more of an influence in Raidou's young life, but he couldn't bring himself to do more than think guiltily about it. They are not ZEX's choices to make.
Hahahah oh ZEX on Taiki. ZEX doesn't try to use Raidou as a go-between, but he sees Raidou as very trustworthy and calming, and just good for Taiki in general. He hopes they become good friends, because that would be a lot less worry some than ~*~certain other friends~*~ both ZEX and Taiki have.
